Big Sky is a census-designated place (CDP) in Gallatin and Madison counties in southwestern Montana. Take a break from the city and head to Beehive Basin Trail and Lone Peak. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like S Rim Trail and The Soldiers Chapel. Venture out of the city with trips to Yellowstone National Park (Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Golden Gate Canyon, & more) and Horseback Riding Tours (in Gardiner). Spend the 15th (Mon) on the water with a fishing tour. And it doesn't end there: hit the slopes at Big Sky Resort, hike along Ousel Falls Trail, get outside with Grizzly Outfitters Ski & Backcountry Sports, and play a few rounds at Big Sky Golf Course.

To find traveler tips, where to stay, reviews, and more tourist information, you can read our Big Sky trip itinerary builder site .

Expect a daytime high around 77°F in July, and nighttime lows around 39°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
