More than just a convenient resting place for travelers on their way to the national park encompassing the Front Range of the Rockies, Estes Park is a popular place to visit in its own right.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Wed): cruise along Trail Ridge Road and then kick back and relax at The Beach at Grand Lake. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 6th (Thu): view the masterpieces at Images of Rocky Mountain National Park, then surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and then hike along Emerald Lake Trail.

On the 9th (Sun), examine the collection at Ouray Alchemist Museum, take in the dramatic scenery at Bear Creek Falls, then steep yourself in history at Yankee Girl Mine, then cruise along Animas Forks, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Sweety's Wildlife Preserve Art Zoo.
