Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Get some cultural insight at Denver Union Station and 16th Street Mall. Step out of the city life by going to River Rafting & Tubing and Cherry Creek State Park. There's lots more to do: see the sky in a new way at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, explore the galleries of Molly Brown House Museum, stop by Tattered Cover Book Store Colfax, and see where the action happens at Coors Field.
