16th Street Mall and Denver Art Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Denver Museum of Nature & Science and Molly Brown House Museum will appeal to museum buffs. There's lots more to do: admire the natural beauty at Denver Botanic Gardens, meet the residents at Denver Zoo, see the interesting displays at Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art, and contemplate the long history of Union Station.

Originally a frontier mining town, Durango is known today for its scenic setting, outdoor activities, and the 1880s steam-powered railway that takes visitors through sections of the mountains where roads don't reach.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Fri): take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Columba Catholic Church, view the masterpieces at Toh-Atin Gallery, then get a taste of the local shopping with Scenic Aperture Gallery, and finally explore the galleries of Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and Museum.

On the 23rd (Sat), stroll through Hanging Lake Trail and then test the waters at a local thermal spa. On your second day here, get in on the family fun at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
