For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Sat): find something for the whole family at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Here are some ideas for day two: get in on the family fun at SeaWorld and then find something for the whole family at Universal Orlando Resort.

Buffalo to Orlando is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Traveling from Buffalo in August, expect Orlando to be somewhat warmer, temps between 92°F and 76°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) early enough to drive to Cape Canaveral.

Cape Canaveral is a city in Brevard County, Florida. Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.

Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Cape Canaveral in August since evenings lows in Key West dip to 81°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Thu) early enough to fly to Tampa.

Tampa — 3 nights

Tampa ranks among the country's most livable cities, attracting newcomers with its growing economy and status as a major port on the Gulf of Mexico.
