Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Dedicate the 12th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: enjoy breathtaking views from Space Needle, admire the masterpieces at Chihuly Garden and Glass, find something for the whole family at Seattle Great Wheel, and take a stroll through Pike Place Market.

Charlotte to Seattle is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train.
