Kihei, Maui — 2 nights

Step off the beaten path and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Wailea Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Kapalua Coastal Trail and Ho'okipa Beach Park. Get out of town with these interesting Kihei side-trips: Zipline (in Lahaina), Iao Valley (in Wailuku) and Jordanne Gallery and Studio (in Makawao). There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Honolua Bay and tour the pleasant surroundings at Ulua Beach.
