First Eastern National Park

The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Precipice Trail and Great Head Trail. Get in touch with nature at Echo Lake Beach and Pretty Marsh Picnic Area. There's still lots to do: trek along Jordan Cliffs Trail, get engrossed in the history at Somesville Historical Museum and Gardens, stroll through The Bowl Trail, and head outdoors with Dorr Mountain.

Boothbay Harbor

Boothbay Harbor is a town in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. Start off your visit on the 11th (Tue): make a trip to Doubling Point Lighthouse, then see the interesting displays at Maine Maritime Museum, and then immerse yourself in nature at Reid State Park. On the 12th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: identify plant and animal life at Boothbay Region Land Trust, then meet the residents at Maine State Aquarium, and then head off the coast to Cabbage Island.
