Situated on the westernmost point of the Lake Superior, Duluth represents a booming port city.
Bring the kids along to Minnesota's North Shore Scenic Drive and Lakewalk. Go for a jaunt from Duluth to Two Harbors to see Gooseberry Falls State Park about 50 minutes away. The adventure continues: snap pictures at Aerial Lift Bridge, pick up some new knowledge with Lake Superior Art Glass, stroll around Canal Park, and contemplate the long history of Glensheen, The Historic Congdon Estate.

Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Bloomington in May, with highs in Duluth at 53°F and lows at 40°F. Rochester is a city in the U.S. State of Minnesota and is the county seat of Olmsted County. On the 2nd (Thu), stroll through National Eagle Center and then admire nature's wide array of creatures at Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo. On your second day here, admire all the interesting features of Garvin Heights City Park and then explore the world behind art at Minnesota Marine Art Museum.

You can fly from Duluth to Rochester in 3 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Duluth in June, things will get a bit warmer in Rochester: highs are around 77°F and lows about 59°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
