The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.
On the 25th (Thu), take in the dramatic scenery at Virginia Falls, then trek along Granite Park Trail, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Avalanche Lake. On your second day here, trek along Iceberg Lake Trail, hike along Highline Trail, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Grinnell Glacier.

Philadelphia to Glacier National Park is an approximately 10.5-hour combination of flight and taxi. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST) is minus 2 hours. Bozeman is a city in and the county seat of Gallatin County, Montana, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Fri): cast your line with a fishing tour, then get engrossed in the history at American Computer Museum, and then grab your bike and head to Middle Cottonwood Trailhead.
