11 days in Orlando & Amelia Island Itinerary

For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.

Pack the 18th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Have a day of magic on the 21st (Tue) at Walt Disney World Resort. There's lots more to do: find something for the whole family at Universal Orlando Resort, make an unforgettable trip to Magic Kingdom Park, push the limits with an extreme tour, and cool off at Discovery Cove.

Boston to Orlando is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Traveling from Boston in June, things will get a bit warmer in Orlando: highs are around 91°F and lows about 73°F. You'll have a few hours on the 23rd (Thu) to wrap things up before traveling to Amelia Island.

Getting from Orlando to Amelia Island by car takes about 3 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of train and taxi; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Expect a daytime high around 88°F in June, and nighttime lows around 75°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Tue) early enough to fly back home.
