Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
On the 22nd (Mon), trek along Snoqualmie Falls. Keep things going the next day: take a stroll through Pike Place Market, make a trip to Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, then stroll through Kerry Park, then explore the world behind art at Chihuly Garden and Glass, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from Space Needle.

An old logging town at the crux of the high desert and ponderosa pine forest, Bend melds a love of the outdoors with cosmopolitan flair.
Explore hidden gems such as River Rafting & Tubing and Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Take a break from the city and head to Smith Rock State Park and Lava River Cave. Visit Nye Beach and Gleneden Beach for some beach relaxation. Attractions like Devils Punchbowl State Natural Area and Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to Yachats (Cape Perpetua Visitor Center - Siuslaw National Forest & Yachats State Park).
