Pocatello is the county seat and largest city of Bannock County, with a small portion on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation in neighboring Power County, in the southeastern part of the U.S. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Pocatello: Yellowstone Bear World (in Rexburg), Arco (EBR-1 & Craters of the Moon National Monument) and Idaho Falls (Hell's Half Acre, Snake River Greenbelt, & more). And it doesn't end there: examine the collection at Museum of Clean, make a splash at Olympic Swimming Complex, learn more about the world around you at Idaho Museum of Natural History, and take an in-depth tour of National Oregon / California Trail Center.

To see maps, more things to do, and other tourist information, read our Pocatello trip site .

In July in Pocatello, expect temperatures between 91°F during the day and 54°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
