With much of Culebra a nature refuge, the tropical island has been protected from overdevelopment, chain hotels, and the cruise set.
Visiting Carlos Rosario Beach and Tamarindo Beach will get you outdoors. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Zoni Beach and Flamenco Beach. The adventure continues: head off the coast to Culebrita Island and stop by Zinkowski Art Studio.

A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Thu): explore the galleries of El Faro Lighthouse, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and then kick back and relax at Crashboat Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: kick back and relax at Domes Beach, take in the exciting artwork at Playa Oeste Gallery, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Sandy Beach.

You can do a combination of flight and car from Culebra to Rincon in 2.5 hours. Other options are to fly; or do a combination of flight, shuttle, and car. For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Head to Siddhia Hutchinson Fine Art Gallery and Isla Vidafor plenty of shopping. We've included these beaches for you: Media Luna Beach and Secret Beach. The adventure continues: enjoy the sand and surf at Caracas Beach, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, enjoy the sea views from Puerto Ferro Lighthouse, and tour the pleasant surroundings at La Chiva.
