Getting from Santa Fe to Chimayo by car takes about an hour. Traveling from Santa Fe in May, expect nights in Chimayo to be about the same, around 46°F, while days are little chillier, around 66°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Taos.

You can drive from Chimayo to Taos in 1.5 hours. Traveling from Chimayo in May, plan for slightly colder nights in Taos, with lows around 35°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 9th (Thu) to allow time for the car ride back home.
