Las Cruces — 3 nights

Las Cruces, also known as "The City of the Crosses", is the seat of Doña Ana County, New Mexico, United States. Change things up with these side-trips from Las Cruces: Deming (Deming Luna Mimbres Museum & Basin Range Volcanics Geolapidary Museum Deming). There's lots more to do: stroll around Dripping Springs Natural Area, pause for some photo ops at Recycled Roadrunner Sculpture, deepen your understanding at New Mexico State University, and contemplate the long history of Old Mesilla Village.
