Center of Fun in the Smokies

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Step out of the city life by going to Grotto Falls Parking and Laurel Falls. Kids will enjoy Roaring Fork and Forbidden Caverns. When in Pigeon Forge, make a side trip to see Tuckaleechee Caverns in Townsend, approximately Townsend away. And it doesn't end there: tour the pleasant surroundings at Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, get in on the family fun at Rockin' Raceway Arcade, get your game on at 7D Dark Ride Adventure, and do a tasting at Mill Bridge Winery.

Once saddled with the reputation of being one of the country's dirtiest cities, Chattanooga now boasts a pedestrian-friendly downtown with a network of leafy waterfront trails and free electric shuttles.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Wed): Head underground at Raccoon Mountain Caverns, sample the fine beverages at Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery, and then get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports. Known as the capital of country music, the thriving city of Nashville combines old-world southern charm with a progressive urban flair.
On the 26th (Fri), take in the history at Lotz House Museum, get to know the fascinating history of Downtown Franklin, then test your team's savvy at The Escape Game Nashville (Downtown), and finally find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area. On the next day, take a memorable tour with Tours, sample the fine beverages at Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, then examine the collection at RCA Studio B, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Centennial Park, and finally snap pictures at Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge.

Getting from Chattanooga to Nashville by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Central Standard Time (CST) is minus 1 hour. The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
On the 28th (Sun), browse the exhibits of Stax Museum of American Soul Music, then get to know the resident critters at Memphis Zoo, then browse the exhibits of Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center, and finally look for gifts at Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid. On the 29th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see the interesting displays at Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum, then catch a live performance at The Orpheum Theatre, and then test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms.
