Durango

Originally a frontier mining town, Durango is known today for its scenic setting, outdoor activities, and the 1880s steam-powered railway that takes visitors through sections of the mountains where roads don't reach.
On the 16th (Fri), take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Columba Catholic Church and then get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports. On the 17th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback, then examine the collection at Durango Fish Hatchery and Wildlife Museum, and then make a trip to Historic Downtown Durango.

The City of Montrose is the Home Rule Municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Montrose County, Colorado, United States. Get out of town with these interesting Montrose side-trips: Grand Mesa (in Grand Junction) and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park (in Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park).
