Start off your visit on the 30th (Tue): take an in-depth tour of Salem Witch Museum, see the interesting displays at Peabody Essex Museum, then contemplate the long history of The House of the Seven Gables, then take in the exciting artwork at Fished Impressions, and finally go for a stroll along the water at Pickering Wharf.

Traveling by train from Boston to Salem takes an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In July in Salem, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 20°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Rockport.

Rockport is a town in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States. Start off your visit on the 31st (Wed): take in the pleasant sights at Rockport Breakwater, then stroll through Good Harbor Beach, and then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour. A small resort town with a year-round population of just 3,000, Provincetown draws nearly 60,000 annual visitors with its scenic beaches, art colonies, galleries, theaters, and shops.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Cape Cod National Seashore and Herring Cove Beach. Change things up with a short trip to Coast Guard Beach in Eastham (about 32 minutes away). There's lots more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Race Point Beach, make a trip to Commercial Street, take in the waterfront at MacMillan Wharf, and see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour.
