Salt Lake City — 1 day

Utah's capital and most populous city, Salt Lake City boasts a small-town feel, big-city amenities, and plenty of nature on its doorstep.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Tue): take in breathtaking views at Big Cottonwood Canyon and then make a trip to Temple Square.

Kalamazoo to Salt Lake City is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Kalamazoo to Salt Lake City. Traveling from Salt Lake City in May, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be slightly colder in Zion National Park, with lows of 41°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Fri) so you can go by car to Bryce.
