Cheyenne is the capital and most populous city of the US state of Wyoming and the county seat of Laramie County. On the 7th (Thu), look for gifts at The Wrangler, then appreciate the history behind Cheyenne Big Boots, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Shambhala Mountain Center, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Cache La Poudre Wilderness. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 8th (Fri): admire the majestic nature at Lory State Park and then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour.

Los Angeles to Cheyenne is an approximately 7-hour combination of train, flight, and shuttle. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Pacific Standard Time (PST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST) is 1 hour. Kick off your visit on the 9th (Sat): steep yourself in history at Old Trail Town. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 10th (Sun): get a new perspective on nature at Draper Natural History Museum, then admire the majestic nature at Buffalo Bill State Park, and then take in the dramatic scenery at The Buffalo Bill Reservoir.

Getting from Cheyenne to Cody by combination of shuttle and flight takes about 5 hours. Other options: drive. In September, plan for daily highs up to 71°F, and evening lows to 47°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Mon) early enough to drive to Yellowstone National Park.

Moose is an unincorporated community in Teton County, Wyoming, United States, in the Jackson Hole valley. Step out of the city life by going to Amphitheater Lake and Jackson Hole Llamas. Step off the beaten path and head to Chapel of the Transfiguration and Taggart Lake. Step out of Moose with an excursion to Teton Raptor Center in Wilson--about 36 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: take in breathtaking views at Cascade Canyon and don't miss a visit to Chapel of the Sacred Heart.

Traveling by car from Yellowstone National Park to Moose takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus. When traveling from Yellowstone National Park in September, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Moose: temperatures range from 68°F by day to 35°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
