Scottsdale — 7 nights
Scottsdale is a city in the eastern part of Maricopa County, Arizona, adjacent to the Greater Phoenix Area. Take a break from the city and head to Boyce Thompson Arboretum and Apache Trail Scenic Drive. Head to Old Town Scottsdale and Mesa Market Place Swap Meetfor plenty of shopping. Step out of Scottsdale to go to Gold Canyon and see Peralta Canyon, which is approximately 52 minutes away. Dedicate the 6th (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: stop by Sibley's West: The Chandler and Arizona Gift Shop, get interesting insight from Tours, look for all kinds of wild species at Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center, and get into the urban bustle at Scottsdale Civic Center Mall.

Despite its relatively small size, Sedona overflows with tourist appeal.Your day by day itinerary now includes The Art of Wine as well as Red Rock State Park. Step out of the city life by going to Cathedral Rock and Devil's Bridge Trail. Do your shopping at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village and Rowe Fine Art Gallery. Traveling by car from Scottsdale to Sedona takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or take a bus. Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Scottsdale in August, with highs in Sedona at 37°C and lows at 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Mon) so you can fly back home.
