Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Thu): examine the collection at Maritime Museum of San Diego and then get to know the resident critters at San Diego Zoo. On your second day here, examine the collection at USS Midway Museum and then let the kids burn off some steam at Balboa Park.

Kick off your visit on the 25th (Sat): take in the views from Bixby Bridge, explore the galleries of Hawthorne Gallery, then kick back and relax at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, and finally kick back and relax at Pfeiffer State Beach. On your second day here, immerse yourself in nature at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, take in the dramatic scenery at McWay Falls, and then trek along Partington Cove.
