For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Have a day of magic on the 24th (Tue) at Walt Disney World Resort. Pack the 23rd (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. There's much more to do: get in on the family fun at Universal Orlando Resort, get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, and discover the magic at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

New York City to Orlando is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In May, Orlando is somewhat warmer than New York City - with highs of 88°F and lows of 69°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 24th (Tue) so you can catch the flight to Key Largo.

Key Largo — 2 nights

The northernmost island of the Florida Keys, Key Largo provides stunning scenery, a number of watersports opportunities, and plenty of areas to relax on vacation.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Wed): surround yourself with nature on Capt. Sterling's Everglades Eco-Tours and then see the vivid underwater world at Spiegel Grove. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 26th (Thu): look for all kinds of wild species at Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and then observe the fascinating underwater world at Island Dolphin Care.

You can fly from Orlando to Key Largo in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In May, daily temperatures in Key Largo can reach 85°F, while at night they dip to 72°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Thu) early enough to drive to Islamorada.

Islamorada — 1 night

Islamorada, long recognized as one of the world's top spots for sport fishing, encompasses six islands in the Florida Keys.
On the 27th (Fri), kick back and relax at Anne's Beach, then take an in-depth tour of History of Diving Museum, then see what you can catch with a fishing tour, and finally indulge your thirst for a good beer at Islamorada Brewery & Distillery - MM82.

Islamorada is very close to Key Largo. In May in Islamorada, expect temperatures between 88°F during the day and 77°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Fri) so you can go by car to Key West.

Key West — 3 nights

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Key West is known for sightseeing, wildlife, and adventure. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: see the interesting displays at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, contemplate the long history of Truman Little White House, get outside with Outdoor Activities, and take a leisurely stroll along Mallory Square.

You can drive from Islamorada to Key West in 2 hours. Another option is to take a bus. May in Key West sees daily highs of 85°F and lows of 77°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Mon) to allow enough time to fly to Everglades National Park.

Everglades National Park — 1 night

A vast expanse of pristine wetlands, Everglades National Park holds the distinction of being the largest tropical wilderness in the U.S. Overflow from Lake Okeechobee into the Florida Bay formed these wetlands, which are home to manatees, American crocodiles, Florida panthers, and an array of wading birds, land birds, and birds of prey.
Start off your visit on the 31st (Tue): identify plant and animal life at Shark Valley Visitor Center and then contemplate the waterfront views at Slough Slog.
