Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Get outdoors at Kamaole Beach Park II and Honolua Bay. Museum-lovers will get to explore Whalers Village Museum and Maui On Metal. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Lahaina: Kamaole Beach Park III (in Kihei), Wailea (Scuba & Snorkeling, Wailea Beach Path, &more) and Kula Country Farms (in Kula). Do some cultural sightseeing at USS Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Koko Crater Railway Trail and Saint Augustine by-the-Sea. Explore Honolulu's surroundings by going to Byodo-In Temple (in Kaneohe), Kailua (Lanikai Beach & Lanikai Pillboxes) and Waimanalo Beach (in Waimanalo).
