Bayou City

Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.
Kids will appreciate attractions like The Houston Museum of Natural Science and The Seawall. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Houston: Kemah (Stingray Reef 215 Kipp Ave & Kemah Boardwalk) and Galveston (Galveston Helicopters, Moody Gardens, &more). There's much more to do: have fun and explore at Children's Museum of Houston, take in the dramatic scenery at Water Wall, see the interesting displays at Space Center Houston, and get to know the resident critters at Houston Zoo.
