Kennewick is a city in Benton County in the southeastern part of the State of Washington, along the southwest bank of the Columbia River, just southeast of the confluence of the Columbia and Yakima rivers and across from the confluence of the Columbia and the Snake. Visit Pendleton Woolen Mill Store and Frenchtown Historic Site for their historical value. Step out of the city life by going to Columbia Park and Pioneer Park. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kennewick: Pendleton (Wildhorse Resort and Casino & Tamastslikt Cultural Institute), Walla Walla (Amavi Cellars, Fort Walla Walla Museum, & more) and Palouse Falls State Park (in Washtucna). Next up on the itinerary: steep yourself in history at Hanford Nuclear Reservation, pause for some photo ops at 9/11 - WTC Memorial, hike along Sacagawea Heritage Trail Loop, and get in on the family fun at Gesa Carousel of Dreams.

For photos, where to stay, reviews, and tourist information, read Kennewick travel planning site .

Expect a daytime high around 92°F in August, and nighttime lows around 57°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
