Crown Jewel of Maui

Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
Change things up with these side-trips from Lahaina: Wailea (Wailea Beach & Keawakapu Beach), Wailuku (Hale Ho'ike'ike at the Bailey House, Iao Valley, &more) and Helicopter Tours (in Kahului). Hana

Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
When in Hana, make a side trip to see Haleakala Crater in Haleakala National Park, approximately Haleakala National Park away. Spend the 27th (Sun) exploring the striking scenery along Hana Highway - Road to Hana. Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Wai'anapanapa State Park, explore the different monuments and memorials at Wananalua Congregational Church, view the masterpieces at Laura Mango Art Gallery, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Hamoa Beach.

You can fly from Lahaina to Hana in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and car. September in Hana sees daily highs of 90°F and lows of 72°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
