New Albany is a city in Floyd County, Indiana, United States, situated along the Ohio River opposite Louisville, Kentucky. Get a sense of the local culture at Spring Mill State Park and Lanier Mansion State Historic Site. Step off the beaten path and head to Clifty Falls State Park and Huber's Orchard & Winery. Get out of town with these interesting New Albany side-trips: Squire Boone Caverns (in Mauckport), Madison (Jeremiah Sullivan House, Lanthier Winery, &more) and Virgil I. Gus Grissom Memorial Museum (in Mitchell). There's still lots to do: immerse yourself in nature at Charlestown State Park, examine the collection at Howard Steamboat Museum & Mansion, and make a trip to Colgate Clock.

The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.
Step out of the city life by going to Highline Trail and Virginia Falls. Discover out-of-the-way places like Iceberg Lake Trail and St.Mary Falls. There's much more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at McDonald Creek, appreciate the extensive heritage of Garden Wall, admire the sheer force of Baring Falls, and get great views at Jackson Glacier Overlook.
