Drive from Alamogordo to Albuquerque in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and flight; or take a bus. While traveling from Alamogordo, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Albuquerque, ranging from highs of 77°F to lows of 51°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Thu) so you can go by car to Taos.

On the 24th (Fri), let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, then take a memorable drive along High Road to Taos, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at San Francisco de Assisi Mission Church, and finally make a trip to Taos Pueblo. Getting from Albuquerque to Taos by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In May, Taos is slightly colder than Albuquerque - with highs of 67°F and lows of 35°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Santa Fe.

Drive from Taos to Santa Fe in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Expect a bit warmer temperatures when traveling from Taos in May; daily highs in Santa Fe reach 73°F and lows reach 43°F. On the 28th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
