Corolla — 2 nights

A trip to Corolla will add a bit of slow-paced fun to your Outer Banks holiday.
Step off the beaten path and head to Carova Beach and Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. Bring the kids along to Currituck Beach and Beach Jeeps of Corolla. There's lots more to do: take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, take a stroll through Scarborough Lane Shoppes, visit a coastal fixture at Currituck Beach Lighthouse and Museum, and take an exotic tour of Back Country Safari Tours.

Manteo is a town in Dare County, North Carolina, United States, located on Roanoke Island. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Paradise Dolphin Cruises and Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. Start off your visit on the 22nd (Mon): make a trip to Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site & Museum and then kick back and relax at Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge.

Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Tue): get engrossed in the history at Ocracoke Preservation Society Museum, take some stellar pictures from Outer Banks National Scenic Byway, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Ocracoke Lifeguarded Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: stroll through Springers Point and then kick back and relax at Ocracoke Beach.
