Known as the "City of Roses," Pasadena hosts the annual Rose Bowl parade and football game.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Coldwater Canyon Park, Greystone Mansion and Park, Mulholland Drive, and other attractions you added. Attractions like Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor make great kid-friendly stops. Get out of town with these interesting Pasadena side-trips: Angeles National Forest (in Arcadia), Running Horse Ranch (in Lake Hughes) and Ojai (Meditation Mount & Sespe Creek). There's still lots to do: find something for the whole family at Six Flags Magic Mountain, try your luck at Santa Anita Race Park, admire the natural beauty at Descanso Gardens, and get a taste of the local shopping with Old Pasadena.

To find ratings, where to stay, more things to do, and tourist information, you can read our Pasadena day trip planner.

If you are flying in from Argentina, the closest major airports are Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario International Airport, John Wayne Airport-Orange County Airport and San Bernardino International Airport. In January in Pasadena, expect temperatures between 17°C during the day and 5°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
