A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.

Venture out of the city with trips to Astoria (Columbia River Maritime Museum & Astoria Column), Cannon Beach (Haystack Rock, Ecola State Park, &more) and Shute Park Aquatic and Recreation Center (in Hillsboro).
