With coastline on the west, south, and east, Newport is a maritime city with a rich history.
Attractions like The Breakers and Boat Tours & Water Sports make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to Bristol (Herreshoff Marine Museum & Colt State Park), Providence (Roger Williams Park Zoo & RISD Museum) and Biomes Marine Biology Center (in North Kingstown). There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Cliff Walk, admire the landmark architecture of The Elms, cruise along Bellevue Avenue Historic District, and steep yourself in history at Marble House.

The Ocean State
