Seattle

— 9 nights

Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Explore Seattle's surroundings by going to Olympic National Park (Bunch Creek Falls, Kalaloch Beach Trail 4, &more), Kirkland (ILovekickboxing & Waverly Beach Park) and Discover Nature (in Mount Rainier National Park). There's lots more to do: enjoy breathtaking views from Space Needle, take a leisurely stroll along Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, take a stroll through Pike Place Market, and kick back and relax at Alki Beach.

To find photos, other places to visit, reviews, and more tourist information, you can read our Seattle day trip planning website.

Denver to Seattle is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Mountain Standard Time to Pacific Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. When traveling from Denver in June, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Seattle: temperatures range from 74°F by day to 57°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Sat) to allow enough time to fly back home.
