Miami Beach — 2 nights

Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and Miami Children's Museum. Explore Miami Beach's surroundings by going to Everglades National Park (Shark Valley Visitor Center & Slough Slog). There's still lots to do: take a stroll through Lincoln Road and appreciate the extensive heritage of Art Deco Historic District.

Wilkes-Barre to Miami Beach is an approximately 7.5-hour combination of car and flight. You can also drive. While traveling from Wilkes-Barre, expect somewhat warmer days and warmer nights in Miami Beach, ranging from highs of 87°F to lows of 74°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Sun) so you can go by car to Key Largo.

Key Largo — 2 nights

The northernmost island of the Florida Keys, Key Largo provides stunning scenery, a number of watersports opportunities, and plenty of areas to relax on vacation.
Start off your visit on the 30th (Mon): stroll through Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, immerse yourself in nature at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, and then get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports. Keep things going the next day: meet the residents at Island Dolphin Care, get a dose of the wild on Capt. Sterling's Everglades Eco-Tours, and then explore the gorgeous colors at Spiegel Grove.

Traveling by car from Miami Beach to Key Largo takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a bus. In May, daily temperatures in Key Largo can reach 85°F, while at night they dip to 72°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 31st (Tue) so you can go by car to Islamorada.

Islamorada — 2 nights

Islamorada, long recognized as one of the world's top spots for sport fishing, encompasses six islands in the Florida Keys.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Wed): fulfill a lifelong dream with Theater of the Sea, take an in-depth tour of History of Diving Museum, then stroll through Anne's Beach, and finally indulge your thirst for a good beer at Islamorada Brewery & Distillery - MM82. On your second day here, tour the pleasant surroundings at Dolphin Research Center, tour the pleasant surroundings at Sombrero Beach, and then stroll through The Turtle Hospital.

Islamorada is very close to Key Largo. In May, daytime highs in Islamorada are 88°F, while nighttime lows are 77°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Thu) early enough to go by car to Big Pine Key.

Big Pine Key is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Monroe County, Florida, United States, on an island of the same name in the Florida Keys. Start off your visit on the 3rd (Fri): see what you can catch with a fishing tour and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Bahia Honda State Park.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
