Lansing is the capital of the US state of Michigan. Kids will appreciate attractions like Potter Park Zoo and R.E. Olds Transportation Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lansing: McCourtie Park (in Somerset Center) and Jackson (Falling Waters Trail, Cascade Falls, &more). There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Woldumar Nature Center, deepen your understanding at Michigan State University, take in nature's colorful creations at 4-H Children's Garden, and stop by Horrocks Farm Market.

Dearborn sits as part of the Detroit metropolitan area and was the home of Henry Ford.
Kids will enjoy TreeRunner West Bloomfield Adventure Park and Detroit Institute of Arts. Explore Dearborn's surroundings by going to Ann Arbor (Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum & Argo Canoe Livery), Great Lakes Crossing Outlets (in Auburn Hills) and Decode Ypsilanti (in Ypsilanti). There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Greenfield Village, step off the mainland to explore Belle Isle Park, browse the exhibits of Motown Museum, and take in the waterfront at Detroit RiverFront.
