Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Mon): appreciate the history behind Statue of Liberty National Monument, don't miss a visit to 9/11 Memorial, then go for a walk through Times Square, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Empire State Building. Here are some ideas for day two: take in the pleasant sights at The High Line and then go for a walk through Central Park.
