The capital of the United States, the District of Columbia contains the lion's share of the country's most treasured monuments, memorials, and public museums.
You've added United States Capitol, George Washington's Mount Vernon, President Lincoln's Cottage, and other attractions to your itinerary. There's more to do: examine the collection at The National Archives Museum and pause for some photo ops at Jefferson Memorial.
