Georgia's oldest city, Savannah displays its colonial history proudly on every corner.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Savannah Historic District and Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Take a break from the city and head to Coligny Beach and Hilton Head Island Bike Trails. Step out of Savannah to go to Tybee Island and see Tybee Island Beach, which is approximately 34 minutes away. There's still lots to do: stroll the grounds of Bonaventure Cemetery, don't miss a visit to River Street Savannah, go on a hair-raising tour with a ghost and vampire tour, and tour the water at your own pace with Compass Sailing, LLC.

Plattsburgh to Savannah is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive. Prepare for much warmer weather when traveling from Plattsburgh in December: high temperatures in Savannah hover around 66°F and lows are around 47°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 31st (Mon) to allow time to drive to St. Augustine.
