Myrtle Beach is a coastal city on the east coast of the United States in Horry County, South Carolina. Start off your visit on the 13th (Mon): stroll through Cherry Grove Beach and then get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Here are some ideas for day two: shop like a local with Broadway at the Beach, then see the interesting displays at Hollywood Wax Museum, and then kick back and relax at Litchfield Beach.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park contains some of the highest mountains east of the Mississippi River, but it's the ease of access that makes this national park the United States' most visited.
Explore hidden gems such as Cades Cove and Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. Step out of the city life by going to Clingmans Dome and Mount LeConte. Step out of Great Smoky Mountains National Park to go to Fontana Dam and see Fontana General Store, which is approximately 52 minutes away. There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Roaring Fork, take a memorable drive along Little River Road, take in the dramatic scenery at Ramsey Cascades, and admire the landmark architecture of Noah Bud Ogle Cabin.

The capital of the United States, the District of Columbia contains the lion's share of the country's most treasured monuments, memorials, and public museums.
Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Thu): examine the collection at The National Archives Museum, examine the collection at Smithsonian Institution Building, then get to know the fascinating history of Capitol Hill, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Tomb of the Unknowns, and finally contemplate the long history of Old Town.
