Fly from Fairbanks to Anchorage in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Fairbanks in April, expect somewhat warmer with lows of 0°C in Anchorage. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Seward.

Spend the 9th (Sun) exploring nature at Kenai Fjords National Park Visitor Center. There's still lots to do: see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, see the world from above with a helicopter tour, observe the fascinating underwater world at Alaska SeaLife Center, and contemplate the waterfront views at Resurrection Bay.

You can drive from Anchorage to Seward in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In April, plan for daily highs up to 9°C, and evening lows to 0°C. On the 10th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Sitka.

Start off your visit on the 11th (Tue): admire the majestic nature at Sitka National Historic Park/Totem Park, admire the landmark architecture of Russian Bishop's House, and then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour.
