The City of Lights and Flowers
Home to nearly half of Alaska's population, the port city of Anchorage covers a staggering area of over 4,900 sq km (1,900 sq mi) surrounded by mountains.Anchorage is known for wildlife, historic sites, and nature. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: admire all the interesting features of Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, steep yourself in history at Alaska Native Heritage Center, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Alyeska Ski Area, and get curious at Imaginarium Discovery Center.

Traveling by flight from Anchorage to Fairbanks takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect slightly colder weather when traveling from Anchorage in February: highs in Fairbanks hover around -13°C, while lows dip to -26°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Tue) early enough to travel to Seward.

Traveling from Fairbanks in February, things will get much hotter in Seward: highs are around 1°C and lows about -4°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
