Bellingham — 11 nights

City of Subdued Excitement

Perched at the northern end of Washington's Pacific coast, the mid-sized city of Bellingham serves as an important stopover on the road between Seattle and Vancouver.
Bring the kids along to Whatcom Falls Park and Boat Tours & Water Sports. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bellingham: Deception Pass State Park (in Oak Harbor), Fort Ebey State Park (in Coupeville) and Anacortes (Anacortes Maritime Heritage Center and W T Preston, Causland Memorial Park, &more). And it doesn't end there: take a stroll through Fairhaven Historic District, admire all the interesting features of Chuckanut Drive, examine the collection at SPARK Museum of Electrical Invention, and learn about all things military at Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum.

For where to stay, more things to do, ratings, and tourist information, read our Bellingham holiday planner.

Lexington to Bellingham is an approximately 11.5-hour combination of flight and shuttle. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Lexington to Bellingham. Traveling from Lexington in May, expect Bellingham to be a bit cooler, temps between 65°F and 48°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
