A huge and vibrant city, Chicago is home to top-notch theaters, shops, museums, galleries, and restaurants.
Kids will enjoy The Art Institute of Chicago and Millennium Park. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Chicago: Chapel of the Resurrection (in Valparaiso) and South Bend (Grotto of Our Lady Lourdes, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, &more). There's still lots to do: get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Shedd Aquarium, make a trip to The Magnificent Mile, take a leisurely stroll along Navy Pier, and enjoy breathtaking views from Skydeck Chicago - Willis Tower.

Durham to Chicago is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Central Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Plan for a bit cooler temperatures traveling from Durham in March, with highs in Chicago at 45°F and lows at 30°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) so you can go by car to Disney.
