Known as a ski resort town, Aspen's history goes back to its roots as a silver-mining village tucked away in an isolated valley of the Rocky Mountains.
On the 14th (Mon), mingle with the ghosts of the past at Ashcroft Ghost Town and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Maroon Bells. The City of Gunnison is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Gunnison County, Colorado, United States. Kick off your visit on the 16th (Wed): see a world frozen in time at Tincup and then cruise along Kebler Pass. On the next day, tour the pleasant surroundings at Crested Butte Mountain Resort and then see a world frozen in time at Gothic.
