Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Get outdoors at River Rafting & Tubing and Denver Zoo. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Union Station and Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The adventure continues: look and learn at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Trinity United Methodist Church, explore the galleries of Denver Botanic Gardens, and take a stroll through 16th Street Mall.
