Florence is a coastal city in Lane County, in the U.S. Heceta Head Lighthouse has been added to your itinerary. Get a sense of the local culture at Umpqua River Lighthouse and Rock Your World: Pacific Northwest Gem & Jewelry Gallery. Step off the beaten path and head to Hobbit Trail and Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area. Explore Florence's surroundings by going to Lincoln City (101 Coastal Creations, Roads End State Recreation Site, & more), Drift Creek Falls Trail (in Otis) and Cape Foulweather (in Newport). Astoria, named for famed fur trader John Jacob Astor, resides near the mouth of the Columbia River.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): examine the collection at Seaside Inverted Experience, then kick back and relax at Cannon Beach, then kick back and relax at Haystack Rock, and finally admire all the interesting features of Astoria Column. On the next day, stop by Beach Books, then admire the majestic nature at Oswald West State Park, then enjoy the sand and surf at Hug Point State Recreation Site, and finally make a trip to Seaside Beach Lewis and Clark Monument.

Getting from Florence to Astoria by car takes about 4.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and flight; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 66°F in June, and nighttime lows around 52°F. On the 5th (Wed), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive back home.
