Galena

Galena is the largest city in and the county seat of Jo Daviess County, Illinois, with a population of 3,429 at the 2010 census. When in Galena, make a side trip to see Mississippi Palisades State Park in Savanna, approximately Savanna away. The adventure continues: brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Blaum Bros. Distilling Co., walk around Grant Park, pause for some photo ops at Galena Veterans Memorial Park, and identify plant and animal life at Horseshoe Mound.
