Gulfport is the second largest city in Mississippi after the state capital, Jackson. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Gulport Municipal Beach and Oldsmar Library. Change things up with these side-trips from Gulfport: Parrish (Florida Railroad Museum & River Wilderness Golf and Country Club) and Andersen Race Park (in Palmetto). There's still lots to do: indulge your thirst for a good beer at Rapp Brewing Company, take in the waterfront at Walter and Bert Williams Fishing Pier, make a trip to Beach Boulevard, and tee off at Seminole Lake Country Club.

For photos, other places to visit, where to stay, and tourist information, go to the Gulfport day trip site .

Cleveland to Gulfport is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also drive. In April, Gulfport is much hotter than Cleveland - with highs of 82°F and lows of 69°F. On the 29th (Mon), you'll travel back home.
